A mental healthcare provider who meets your needs.

Getting Started

1

Check your insurance or self-pay options

On the About page, I list my services offered, prices, and a link to verify your insurance benefits. If you are not using insurance or if I do not accept your insurance, I do accept self-pay. I am able to offer you a “super-bill” to provide your insurance to possibly receive reimbursement for out of network benefits.

2

Schedule your first appointment

Reach out to me through my contact page to let me know you’re interested in scheduling your first appointment. Once we agree upon a time and date that works well, I will send you intake/consent paperwork. The documents are fillable online through my electronic health record. These documents require an electronic signature prior to submitting.

3

Prepare your device for your first appointment

I use a secure version of Zoom for all appointments. Please ensure that the latest version of zoom is downloaded on the device you will be using. Zoom has a test link you can use to make sure your device is set up for both video and audio. Lastly, it’s also important to check your Internet connection prior to the session and ensure it is working properly.

FAQs

What’s the first session like?

The first session is a time for you and I to get to know each other better. I’ll ask a bunch of questions, in a way that is not overwhelming. I know seeking therapy can be pretty difficult and I want to create safe place for you to feel welcomed. I ask meaningful questions to get a better understanding of the needs you have. My belief is that therapy is most successful when you feel comfortable in the therapy relationship.

How many sessions do I need?

This is a pretty difficult question, mostly because you are a unique individual. There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to therapy. Your needs and growth will help answer this question as therapy progresses.

What are the benefits of online therapy?

Online therapy has so many benefits! You get to go to therapy from the comfort of your own space. That means no driving to an appointment, getting stuck in traffic, or having to re-arrange your work schedule. You’ll never have to worry about sitting in a waiting room and *hoping* no one sits next to you. Imagine the possibilities: fitting in a therapy session while on your lunch break, or waiting in the car at your kids baseball practice, or better yet, sitting in your pajamas with your dog right next to you!

My experience is that my clients tend to go deeper in session because they are in the comfort of their own space. This leads to a safe and secure therapy experience.
